Change is something I am not used to and it is extremely difficult for me to experience change. There have been a lot of drastic changes in my life this past month. Something hit me the other day while I was watching, and listening to a video sermon about hope by Louie Giglio. I got a lot out of this video. One of the biggest things was that when trouble comes we need to look at the cross and the story of Jesus when He died on the cross. When we look to scripture, specifically John 16 and 17 we see that God loved us by sending His son ,Jesus, to die on the cross for our sins. God has a plan even though we may not see it. A friend showed me some verses in 1 Peter these verses have been helpful and very comforting.
1 Peter 5-9
And through your faith, God is protecting you by his power until you recieve this salvation, which is ready to be revealed on the last day for all to see. So be truly glad there is wonderful joy ahead, even though you have to endure many trials for a little while. These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold- though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the world. You love him even though you have never seen him. Though you do not see him now, you trust him; and you rejoice with glorious, inexpressible joy. The reward for trusting him will be the salvation of your souls.
Verse 5 says that God is protecting us by his power.
God is our Ultimate Protector.
